finding humor in name labels.
I’m mailing out postcards.
hundreds of postcards.
promotional, hot pink service postcards for my job.
we finally got address labels versus me handwriting them. which I probably did at least 600-700 of—not to mention hand stamping. ugh.
there are a few things I miss about the way my job used to be….
the hustle and bustle of a busy service department and customers in the show room.
Italian guys named Steve.
being flirted with on a daily, ongoing basis.
bigger paychecks.
there are a lot of things I do not miss:
the creepy cleaning guy who seriously thought I would go out with him.
Italian guys named Steve.
working 10 hour Saturdays
working until at least 9 pm every day.
a six day work week.
that’s the short list.
anyway.
back to the name labels.
I’ve been tweeting strange names I come across. usually I’m fortunate enough that the first and last name combined make a super awesome strange name. those are always sweet.
but this time I decided to giggle at someone with the first name Hardwick. I have the mind of a fifth grade boy. but then my eyes roamed over the other labels on the page and I giggled even more: Along with Hardwick Robinson there was a Mike Cox. Chantel Liggett isn’t perverted or even that funny, nor is Helen Kuc or Greg Mocha. But then I came across James Zeman and it was all over.
Hardwick. Cox. Zeman.
heh.
next up will be my first audio post!
